We are at the mid-point of our 2008 CSA deliveries. We received a head of the cabbage that was just in the ground last weekend.

The yellow squash and cucumbers this week were huge and the tomatoes are so good that they are already half eaten. We also received our first sweet corn of the season. Rounding out the delivery this week were some more peaches and a dill plant.

  1. Hey!
We are at midpoint too. This has been a great year! It is interesting reading what you got in your pick up. Do you get yours delivered to you – or do you go to the farm to pick up. We actually go to the farm – right now some of the veggies we pick ourselves are unlimited quantities – so today I picked 8 pounds of green beans! Fun!

Anyway – greetings from Vegetarian on the Cheap!

  2. We get it delivered. The farm is a good 60 miles from here and DC traffic is a nightmare to get out there every week. I’d be in heaven with 8 pounds of green beans. I can eat them raw by the fistful. Thanks for visiting. Love your website!
