When I travel to the West Coast, I’m often a victim of hunger jet lag. That is, I want lunch during breakfast and dinner for lunch. Fortunately, Pike Place Market was only a short walk from my hotel this early Sunday morning. Even better, there was a sandwich place that was open and ready to serve me lunch before 8:30 in the morning. While I waited for my order, I noticed how neat and organized the area behind the counter was. I wish my pantry looked so good!

The menu features a wide variety of sandwiches served on very fresh foccacia bread. Many of the selections were either vegetarian or vegan.

I ordered the gesundheit sandwich with avocado, cream cheese, sprouts and sundried tomatoes served with a little side salad. It was incredibly fresh and flavorful. My only complaint is that there wasn’t a little more on the sandwich but the bread alone made up for the lack of fillings.

Sisters European Snacks is located on a side street called “Post Alley” that runs parallel to Pike Place Market. It may be a little difficult to find, but for a quick lunch during breakfast time, it’s worth finding.
